出生於巴西的小野麗莎，從小在父親經營的俱樂部裡接受許多一流音樂家的薰陶。耳濡目染之下，小野麗莎15歲起就開始拿起吉他唱歌。回到日本之後，於89年發表首張專輯，便以其自然的歌聲與甜美的笑容擄獲了眾人的耳朵，迅速地在日本拓展Bossa Nova曲風，並樹立其第一把交椅的地位。她那充滿陽光氣息的輕快樂章，比起巴西當地歌手也絲毫不顯遜色。因此不僅在日本，小野麗莎的音樂在全世界都受到肯定，不論是紐約或巴西的演唱會都有盛大的迴響。甚至得到Bossa Nova之神Antonio Carlos Jobim的青睞，雙方合作共譜出不少精采的作品。
