Good Morning All,

Over the past couple of years we have seen many changes in our organisation.  During this time positions have changed in size and scope.  In the last year an area than we have seen a big change is in our Administration department.  With many projects being completed we have seen tasks moved back into the other functions as well as being off shored to XXX.  The number of colleagues in our organisation has also changed dramatically over the past couple of years.   

It is with all these changes to the size of the organisation and size of job scope Tina Kuan our current administration manager who has been a loyal and dedicated employee for SAM Taiwan for over 22 years has decided to retire.  Tina started in finance and accounting before moving to her current position as Administration manager.  She is a very kind and happy person who is always thinking of others. Speaking from my own personal experience when I arrived to Taiwan to have someone like Tina welcome you to a country is such a pleasure and I am privileged I have been able to work with her. 

It is therefore fitting to know that Tina after she finishes work with SAM will continue her volunteer work.  Which goes to show she is always thinking about helping others.

With Tina leaving this will be an opportunity to review our current organisation set up. Therefore we have decided that from December 1st the Administration department will report directly to the Finance manager Larry Lin.  Rose Chang will remain in her current position and has been asked to take on additional administration tasks while still assisting cluster top in various activities.  Rose will continue to sit in the current area near cluster top office but will now be part of the finance team.  The changing in reporting lines allows for back up during holiday and sick days and ensures that Rose gets the support required to perform her daily tasks.

Tina's last working day in the office will by November 13.  Therefore we still have sometime before Tina finishes to all thank her for the great contribution that she has given SAM Taiwan.  She will be missed dearly and we wish her all the best for the future.
