６月，由弟弟瑞奇懷德（Ricky Wilde）擔任製作的首張大碟［Kim Wilde］發行，收錄前兩首單曲

專輯登上英國榜＃３（金唱片）

德國登上冠軍，賣出２５萬張以上, 拿到金唱片──這是［Kim Wilde］最暢銷地區，也奠定懷德在日耳曼地區高人氣基礎

 

７月，金推出第三主打──雙A面單曲［Water on Glass／Boys］（RAK唱片發行）

拿到英國單曲榜＃１１．

其中［Boys／男孩們］由弟弟瑞奇懷德與父親馬提懷德（Marty Wilde）譜寫

瑞奇將其製作成一首新浪潮／合成流行曲，

節奏急速，旋律琅琅上口，瑞奇懷德的和聲襯托出金細緻的女聲．

 

［Boys］未出現在金任何錄音室大碟中，直到２００９年，才收錄在大碟［Kim Wilde］重新製作的CD附贈曲目中．
