Before Scott and I got married, I declare to him that I don’t know how to cook. (Well, I actually do know how to cook. But, it is always good to make some excuse to let the man do it!) He knew I am not good at cooking and he doesn’t mind, because he used to be a chef. So, he is more than happy to cook. As long as I tell him what I want to eat, he will cook it. So, I am not so worry about going to kitchen to cook. I only need to chat with Scott when is preparing the food, so he doesn’t get bored. However, I do try to make effect to cook lunch sometimes and take it to Scott’s work so he can have nice lunch. In our home, the strangest thing is I like to have roast with mash potatoes and vegetables on the side. It is a very traditional kiwi food, and I love it. I can have it all the time, I will not get sick of it. However, Scott likes Asian food. He loves stir fry and noodles. I think in his last life he must be an Asian person. But now, I actually like baking. They are easy and not too messy and everyone likes it. Take my homemade biscuits for example. I normally make around 24 of them all at once, but I normally only ate 2. Scott will eat all other 22 of them. This afternoon I have a new receipt for lemon honey tartlet, so I started to make some. The problem is the tartlet case. On the receipt, it says you buy the already made tartlet case from supermarket, but I forget to buy some. Scott suggested that we use the biscuit receipt to make the tartlet case. It was a good suggestion, and the finished product looks pretty good. After dinner, Scott tells me he wants to sample to tartlet. He actually sample 3 tartlets all at once. Well, I am glad that the experiment is a success~!!! |
