美國什麼都貴，只有一樣東西真的比台灣便宜，當然只有一點點啦!!那就是Starbucks coffee。昨天進舊金山市區 (唉! 用"進"市區，有點小悲苦，是滴， I am hanging in a small "town")，從2點逛到天黑的6點，就在Hyatt Hotel的對面有一家Starbucks，剛好救我可憐累翻的大拇指 (警告美麗的女人們:逛街要穿軟鞋)。

      其實，以前也不是沒在美國生活過，但點東西會緊張哩，怕別人聽不懂我們的話 (誰管你那是你的第二語言，你有本事來，就要有本事說)，怕不會用日常用語，哈!是不是真的莫非定律，"差的情況，會更糟"，老實講，Latte最好點，所以我也不花心思去看menu list，脫口而出說 :"Latte, medium"，"What is the size?"這時Non-Verbal :body language就派上用場了，小拉丁waiter直接拿出杯子尺寸跟我確認，享用了我舊金山市區的第一杯熱拿鐵。

      因為這樣很虛心的把 Starbucks conversation作了筆記: 每日三字 Toll (small)  Grande (medium)  Venti (large) 。

Starbucks的公益做的很貼心，杯子空白處的版面，會印上不同的短句，我今天的這杯Latte的杯子是#205" The Way I See It"--Dr. Laura Schlessinger，我有些感受，把它記下來:

     人生意義不是只存在於玩樂，它連繫在付出的榮譽與責任中。
