LL--ppLL--ccMy two brothers , five sisters, and I will always be grateful for what happened at St.Bernard's in Cohoes,New York, on September 8, 1956. Our parents were married in a simple ceremony on that beautiful, sunny Saturday. They had a small reception in/at a church hall that included finger sandwiches, white cake with white frosting, and a champagne toast. The youthful, smiling faces of the bride and groom were the first images taken of a Union that would yield eight children, ten moves, and over fifty years of marrige. Even thoug I wasn't there the wedding photos of that happy day have given me a memory of the feelings and sights my parents must have had.Exercise**ceremony--special event to celebrate people or a place(典禮;儀式)1. grateful--adj.thankful, gratitude--n.感激;感恩;謝意) 2. reception--n.small celebration with food and drink(歡迎會;招待) 3. toast--N.c.raising a glass and giving special wishes(舉杯祝賀;乾杯) 4. images--picture(照片) 5. yield--results in(終成),produce(生育) 6. moves--changes in location of home(搬家) 7. marry--v. 8. marrued adj.(p.p.) marrying--adj.(progressive tense used as an adjective) 9. reception--traditionally paid for by bride's family; 10. rehearsal dinner--bridal(includes bridesmaids n groomsmen) party and fam[ly====groom's family pays for it 11. dainty--n.可口的食物 adj.優美的 ;講究的;食物可口) 12.
