Last morning, when I turned on the TV to look for an NBA game, I couldnt find it. Instead, I found the World Classic Baseball final between Venezuela and the US. It was the bottom of the eighth inning, and Venezuela was leading 2-0. But soon the US hit a two-run homer to even the game. In the top of the ninth inning, Venezuela regained the lead with a double, and the USs last hitter got a strikeout in the bottom of the inning. Now, Venezuela beat the US 3-2 and won the championship!
In rapture, Venezuelan players and fans celebrated their victory. They shouted with all their might, embracing one another with tears in their eyes. It may be regarded as another kind of sweet revenge for their humiliating defeat earlier this year: the president of Venezuela was kidnapped and sent to the US for trial.
