There will be a referendum of four issues held in coming December on the island, and now DDP administration exerts every possible effort it can provide to deter the islanders from voting in favor of the referendums. The move is quite normal in party politics; DPP has the right to do so. 

The issues to be determined are all concerning internal livelihood and evironment protection, having nothing or little to do with Mainland China. But DPP has associated all the issues with its usual campaign technique: "Resist against China to safeguard Taiwan", so as to fully mobilize its supporters. 

People with sound mind and judgement may think DPPs appeal is extremely far-fetched, but things may not be what you think. With those diehard supporters, the so-called 817 or 1450, DPP could weather the "political storm" this time, again.
