According to a piece of TV news yesterday, a former diplomat with subject surname was appointed deputy major of Taichung. Congratuations, Mr Linghu, you have got a new job! The compound name can be traced back to the era of "Spring and Autumn". (One of the protagonists in Jin Yong fictions has such a name, so people may mistakenly think it is a "foreign" name from "five barbarians".) But I have to remind you here that "令"狐 should be pronounced as "玲" instead of "另", and its abridged and single one "令" as a surname should be pronounced the same also. FYI, there were several "big brothers" named 令 in China Mainland during Hu Jingtao era. They all have funny first names like 計畫, 政策, 完成, and so on.
