感冒 is a sickness that everybody is trying to avoid. But the term itself is also used colloquially in conversation or as an internet usage. Its meaning; however, is a little different from each other in Taiwan China and Mainland China. In Taiwan people use the term with positive expression but to denote a negative meaning. 很感冒 means people have an adverse feeling toward something or someone that they dislike. While in Mainland people use the term with negative expression to denote something that the speakers are indifferent with. 不感冒 means people are not interested in something or someone, or do not like something or someone very much. Interesting? Yet I strongly suggest formal expressions be used in conversation, instead of those vulgar ones. |
