More and more usages of new terms that are borrowed from China Mainland through cross-fertilization is definitely an inexorable trend in Taiwan.  The reason is quite simple: the comparative level of linguistic strength.  Over a century ago, China had to borrow plentiful newly-coined Chinese terms from Japan like hell because she lagged much behind Japan in absorbing knowledge of new technologies and many others which were indispensable for being a modern country.  Now China already caught up and because of the superiority of Chinese language and the abundance of cultural heritages, she has been able to have linguistic dominance in Chinese-speaking circle.  Why not Taiwan?  It is simple, too.  Everything can be boiled down to its de-China policy.  Kindly refer to the article below at:
