P.S.  In the report, the author mentioned Mr. Li Ji(李濟) who had been an anthropology and archaeology guru when I was in college.  You know, as a freshman "Introduction to Archaeology and Anthropology" was an obligatory course for me.  I was hoping I could receive Mr. Li's teaching, or his lecture, but I couldn't.  It was one of his "disciples" who taught the course.  Anyway, I did obtain some useful knowledge from the course, especially the concept of anthropology and the evolution of human societies.

Another memorable figures in Lizhuang are Ms. Lin Huiyin and her husband Liang Sichen.  A photo vividly demonstrated how hard were the days the couple spent in Lizhuang during Resistance War Against Japan: then bedridden Lin, with a gaunt face, accompanied by her two kids in a shabby room.  I don't remember her daughter or her son later recalled their days in Lizhuang, and she or he once asked her mother what they should do if Japanese troops were to come.  Ms. Lin simply replied to them that what else we can do except jumping into Yangzi River together.  Like I've always said it is not only Ms. Lin's talent, achievements, or even her ineffable beauty that I admire, but also her patriotism that impressed me most.  She is my goddess.
