How can he achieve it ? Let’s see his almost wonderful personal life experience. He studied in BA of NTU in college . During the 4 years, he led a the country youth volunteer service club , and obtained the NTU best students with other 9 people among 30,000 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students. Besides, he still could maintain his academic performance, he ranked top 3 in the third year and no.1 in the forth year of study. Later, he studied in MBA of NCCU as his master degree. During the 2 years , he won Loreal Brandstorm competition in 2002, which played an important role and transformed his personal life. That is the main reason I attended the speech, and I wanted to know more about the experience and learned more from him. Besides, he won Taiwan Best University Student in 2003 and gave a speech on the Youth Day. I think it can clearly explain why he can work in Mckinsey. For me, he is a great role model for most students , including me, I still have a great room to make a improvement. During the 2 hours , he shared lots experience about work, MBA, and career plan. He said the routine work started from 9 and end up at 00, 15 working hour per day. Besides , there is one famous rule “up or out ”, which push every elite to transcend people who sit next to you. With such great pressure, no one have time to relax and be lazy. I really can’t imagine a life with enormous pressure, and it had lasted for 2 years. They gave you a much higher pay ,at least 15,ooo USD per year, but you have to sacrifice your freedom and health to exchange for the admirable social status and salary. It is a trade-off, and that is why when it comes to his career plan, he has no idea or direction about it . many people encounter the same questions ,and talk about it . In the dilemma, right or left ? I have to admit , I am envious of the job, and the challenge. But I can’t afford the pressure and time spent on work. I prefer a balanced life and work. Money is not the key point , I would rather do the thing I am interested instead of work with great money. I don’t have any direction about my future and career, but I don’t worry about it. It gives me chances to try and explore my life from the sound of the heart. And he had talked a lot about the essentially skills in the future. There are 4 ability mentioned in the speech. First , problem solving skills, which is also the same with me. I regard it as the most important one . Second, personal impact , that is interpersonal skill. You have to know how to communicate with others , and make a great impression for them . Third, leadership, it is largely addressed in the magazine and books. Last, aspirations , easily to say, passion. Do you have any drive to become better or excellent ? that determine whether you can stay or out ? do you have all of it ? It is a great speech and I have learned a lot from it . It gave me a great inspiration and push me to go ahead. The road ahead and keep going. |
