SLIVER

IF YOU COULD SMELL SILVER

IF YOU WOULD BE LIKE

THE FRAGRANCE OF CRISP, CLEAN AIR

ON WINTER'S FIRST FROST

THE SCENT OF COOL PEPPERMINT

THAT MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH

IF YOU COULD TASTE SILVER

IT WOULD TASTE LIKE

THE ICICLES THAT HAND

ON THE COVERED TREES,

LIKE THE DELICATE SNOWFLAKES THAT MELT

WITH A TOUCH OF YOUR TONGUE,

IF YOU COULD TASTE SILVER

IYOU WOULD HEAR

THE PITTER PATTER OF RAIN,

ITS DROPS REFLECTING

LIKE A SPRINKLE OF STARS

YOU WOULD HEAR THE CHATTER

OF ELEGANT LADIES

SWISHING AROUND

IN GLITTERING,TINSEL GOWNS

NOW AND THEN

A CLINK OF CRYSTAL

AND A POP

OF A CHAMPAGNE BUBBLE,

IF YOU COULD FEEL SILVER

IT WOULD FEEL SOFT AND WET

IF YOU TOUCHED

THE MORNING DEW

ON THE SILKY GRASS

LIKE THE TOUCH OF A GOODDESS

ON A SPRING MORNING
