聖彼得堡(Са́нкт-Петербу́рг,俗稱彼得堡,是俄羅斯的聯邦直轄市,也是西北部聯邦管區和列寧格勒州的首府。位於俄羅斯西北部,是波羅的海芬蘭灣的重要港口。城市有涅瓦河流過。聖彼得堡有520萬人口,是俄羅斯人口第二大城、聖彼得堡由彼得大帝於1703年5月27日建立,在1712年至1918年期間為俄羅斯帝國的首都,並為帝國三次大革命——第一次俄國革命、俄國二月革命、十月革命的中心.
聖彼得堡多次因時空背景而易名:第一次世界大戰於1914年爆發後,聖彼得堡為因應當時「去日耳曼化」的風潮而改名為「彼得格勒」(Петрогра́д);在蘇聯立國後又改名為「列寧格勒」(Ленингра́д).
聖彼得堡歷史中心及相關建築群被聯合國教科文組織列入世界遺產。旅遊業是聖彼得堡的核心產業之一,該市擁有眾多的文化景點,如冬宮、人類民族博物館、馬林斯基劇院、俄羅斯國家圖書館、俄羅斯博物館、彼得保羅要塞和聖以撒大教堂等等.
Saint Petersburg (Russian: Санкт-Петербу́рг, tr. Sankt-Peterburg; IPA: [ˈsankt pʲɪtʲɪrˈburk] ( listen)) is Russia's second-largest city after Moscow, with five million inhabitants in 2012,[9] and an important Russian port on the Baltic Sea.
