Broad Group, which is known for sustainable building technology, is reported to build the world's next tallest building in Changsha City, Hunan Province, China. The Chinese conglomerate has a track of records as a fast builder. Sky City is one of the largest projects they are taking on now - a skyscraper with 838 meters tall and 200 floors high. The project is going to take 7 months to complete. Changsha's Broad Group and its Broad Sustainable Building division (BSB) plan to build an 838m tall skyscraper. Using a revolutionary modular construction technique they will be able to build the record breaking tower in a matter of months, thus reducing construction costs and waste while increasing safety on the construction site. Projects like this hope to address the growing housing problem in China, a result of a modern rural exodus, making apartment blocks both more affordable and safer, while pushing the city upwards instead of outwards, sprawling over miles and miles.
Broad Group, a private conglomerate in China, has a track of records in constructing buildings in record breaking time, using their factory-made modules. This time, they're going to take on a 220-storey skyscraper, which is 838-m tall, 10 meters taller than the existing world's highest building - Dubai's Burj Khalifa. http://youtu.be/6QANidB77tI |
