廣州郵票會第一次展覽會紀念

The Commemoration of First Stamp Fair of Canton Stamp Society

  1938年10月21日，日軍由廣州大亞灣登陸佔領廣州後,在軍事上不斷進犯珠江三角洲地區，政治上積極建立偽組織，文化上則以和平、親善、共存共榮為主軸，進行思想洗腦之活動，以中日親善為表面，實際在厚植日本在華南之經濟及文化勢力，其中最具影響力的，為台灣總督府在穗所辦的博愛會及博愛醫院，其並非單純之慈善組織，是日本對華政策之執行單位。

 博愛會設於廣州着名之文教藝術中心文德路，1942年10月1日至4日，為擴大慶祝滿州國建國10週年，由旅穗日本人、台籍日人所辦之廣州郵票會，與日本切手會、博愛會合辦「慶祝滿州國建國十週年廣州第一回郵票展覽會」雙喜郵展，由台籍日人魏為山規劃，據聞同年10月中旬，於原展地又辦第二次郵展，因資料不足，展出內容及規模不詳。郵展期間，廣州郵票會備製紀念戳乙枚，供觀展郵人蓋用。

On October 21st 1938, the Japanese army landed at Bay Taya and then occupied Canton. After that, there was constant military attack launched by Japanese in the area of Chukiang Delta. Culturally, they tended to create a relationship of harmony, peace and conexistence with Chinese people in order to brainwash their thoughts. On the surface, they were holding a positive Sino-Japanese relationship, but actually they were developing their power both in culture and economy in south China.The most infuential organizations at that time were the Poai hospital and Poai society in Canton founded by the Governor’s office of Taiwan. 

Poai society were founded in Wenteh road, where was the well-known center of culture, education and art. From October 1st to 4th of 1942, to widely celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Manchoukuo and the first stamp fair of Canton stamps society, a joint stamp exhibition were held by Canton stamps society,which were founded by Japanese and Taiwanese living in Canton, Japan stamps society and Poai society. The main figure in charge of this event was a Taiwanese, W.S.Wei. It was said that a second stamps exhibition was held in October at the same year; however, due to the lack of proven data, the size and the detail of exhibtion was not clear. During the exhibition, the Canton stamps society made a commemorative postmark for the uses of visitors.
