A Hope in Winter Hsu ChiCheng

“Has the winter gone?”
“No. N0…”
With a sharp sword in hand
The cold wind hesitates to reply
The cold-looking haze
And desolation reply in chorus:
“It hasn’t gone yet!”

“Will the spring come?”
“Yes. Sure!”
The buds anxious to get out of the withered branches
Reply affirmatively
The repressed mind and
The smiles not appearing for a long time say together:
“Wait patiently!”

O! Spring will certainly come!
So many hopes in your mind:
Never lose your faith
And wait patiently

Yes. I will wait patiently
And happily to see
The collapse of winter, a tyrant
To welcome spring’s arrival
That day
The world will be fully filled with
Sunlight, flowers and joy

        冬天裏的希冀 

“冬天走了嗎？”

“沒有。沒……有。”

有些猶豫地

舉著利刃的寒風回答著

沉著臉的陰霾也回答著

還有蕭索和乾枯：

“還沒有吧！” 

“春天會來嗎？”

“會的。一定會的。”

肯定地回答著

那些急欲迸出枯枝的嫩芽

那些久被壓抑的人心

還有久違的燦爛笑容：

“耐心等等吧！” 

啊！春天一定會來！

多少希冀和期待在心中：

別失去信心

要耐心地等待 

嗯，且耐心地等待

也樂觀地等待

等待冬天這暴君崩解

等待必定到來的

那一天

讓陽光、花果和快樂

充滿人間
