──給外孫女若妍的童詩（12）

一剎那間，我感到
妳長得比我高

其實，妳才將兩歲
和一般的孩子沒兩樣
不知良藥苦口
吃藥時不住地哭泣，拒吃
誰也勸不過妳
「感冒、咳嗽就是細菌在作怪
吃了藥，把細菌殺死了
就不會生病了」
聽了我這句話
妳便止了哭泣
雖然仍皺著眉頭
畢竟把藥吃下去了

一剎那間，我感到
妳長得比我高
別說我回到小時候
即使現在，我還是要
仰著頭看妳

In a twinkle, I feel
You have grown taller than I

In fact, you are aged two only
No difference from other babies
You don’t know that bitter medicine cures sickness
So you refuse to take medicine
Without following anyone’s advice
“Catching cold means bacterium making mischief
And medicine can kill them
You will be strong after taking these medicines”
After hearing my words
You stop crying
And try to have
Swallow these tables

That moment , I feel
You have grown taller than I
In spite of my return to childhood
Even now I feel I should raise my head
To look up at you
