Watching the Sea    Hsu ChiCheng

When I come to the seaside and look into the distance

My eyesight suddenly turned into two rolling pellets

Which are shot and submerged into the distant sea fasten than light speed

Ships navigating on the boundless sea are turned into part of it

With the passage of time

They interestingly are turned into various flowers

And butterflies

And rosy clouds, and

Flames

By the sea and the sky

Until they are brewed into bottles of liquor and jars of honey

I will still look back over my shoulders at each pace

And leave and carry them back into the recess of my soul

To enjoy tasting them..;.
