從"雖然...但是"到"雞兔同籠"

近來常有網友來推薦Apple的舊文. 原以為我的格文缺少美麗的詞彙, 又枯燥無比. 有人來看, 就竊喜不已. 如今舊文越陳越香. 謝謝諸位捧場! 今天Apple搜盡枯腸, 就以英文和數學為體裁, 胡謅一下.

I. 雖然...但是

小學時大家都學過造句. 相信"雖然...但是"的造句難不了網友們. 現在提醒大家, 寫英文句子時, 有雖然就沒有但是, 有但是就沒有雖然. 換句話說Although, though不可與But合用.

Although he is the boss(A), he shouldn't insult you(B).
He is the boss(C), but he shouldn't insult you(D).

A+B ------> 可也
C+D ------> 可也
C+B ------> 意思不完全
A+D ------> 不可也

II. 比一比(Than)

我一位托福考六百三十多分的老同學也犯了這個錯. 哈哈! 她email中說

You are smarter and quicker than me. ---> 不對

全句是 You are smarter and quicker than I am. 省了am 就成了,

You are smarter and quicker than I.

切記!

III. 雞兔同籠

雞兔同籠的問題大家小學時學過. 但是真正瞭解的人少. 都是死記作法. 今天Apple換個方法來教. 保證容易懂, 而且不忘.

籠內雞兔共有13隻, 腳有42隻. 有幾隻兔子?

假如把所有兔子的兩隻腳砍掉(殘忍!!!), 則每隻動物都是兩隻腳, 對不?
13 X 2 = 26 隻腳留在籠內, 籠外有42 - 26 = 16隻砍下的兔腳.
每隻兔子少了兩隻腳, 16隻被砍下的兔腳即8隻兔子也. (現在可以把腳還給兔子們了.)

懂了沒? 很容易是不是?

Homework for You

I. 填空

可惜Apple沒當老師, 否則--------------------.
Too bad Apple was not a real teacher, otherwise ----.

II. 翻譯成英文及填空

蘋果老師年紀雖大了, 但是---------.
蘋果老師比我們年紀大, 我們必須尊敬她.

III. 鶴兔同籠

鶴兔共有11隻. 籠內站著的腳有31隻.
兔幾隻? 鶴幾隻?

說的沒錯, 不必改作業. 可是啊, 湖映, Apple要寫回覆也是蠻辛苦滴.

看樣子Apple是無藥可救; 在格子裡扮老師成癮.

放心, 蘋果老師不會笑任何人的. 只是有時會忍不住上前糾正一下.

妳看這麼多人 Fu 來 Fu 去, 我都沒笑.

Fu唸起來像Few(少). 少來少去???? 少什麼?

Feel 唸起來絕對沒有 U 的音. 怎麼成了 Fu, 不懂!

常被老輸抽金條

偶讀小學時，為了雞兔問題常被老輸抽金條（打小腿肚子），他如苟用Apple的方法教偶們，應該就容易懂多勒。偶睏了，作業偶帶回家做蛤。

真的, 我覺得有些老師不會教. 可能他們自己也不是真懂; 依樣畫葫蘆而已. 我小學時曾經問倒過老師.

Teacher Apple, I am a lazy student. When I am trying to peek others' answers, YOU hires UDN to lock all response immedietely. Here is my honest answer:

1. Too bad Apple was not a real teacher, otherwise, the education beauro would resign right away.

2. 忘了抄題...放棄

3. 今天的鶴全離奇倒下,可是動物園開門了,生意總是要做,於是兔子們忍痛各捐前腳給鶴,假裝鶴是趴著腳睡覺.有一隻三腳貓來了,覺得這是奇觀,偷偷溜進園子裡.這時來了一位蘋果攝影師只注意拍腳...請問,有多少鶴和兔子?(10分)

Than 是介系詞

我贊成您的意見, 也讚美心意。只是 than 的用法, 我認為兩者皆可, than I am, 正確, than 接名詞子句; than me, 也可, than 接受詞。

Dear Sir: I cannot believe I am doing this(looking up a dictionary)... Than 有兩個用法1).連接詞(conjunction) 2).介系詞(preposition) 1). I am stronger than he (is). 2). It costs more than five dollars. Informal Use: He is younger than me. 所以最後一句是非正式用法. Acceptable, yes. Apple

3^rd Conditional – uses the ‘past perfect’ with ‘modal + have + past participle’. It is usually used to express a past regret about something which did not happen in the past.

‘If I had won the lottery, I would have bought a plane.’

‘If I had been taller, I could have played in the NBA.’

So your sentence should be as follows:

If I had known you earlier, I would have had a good interview already.

如樓下所說, Apple是過氣的工程師. 不是老師ㄡ.

以前因工作關係, 需要寫很多inter-office letters, project proposals, financial reports, performance reviews, etc. 所以特別注重文法和拼音.
