| NiuNiu, Gabriel came this morning, then his mother drove us to Loblaws to help us buying some grocery since the city bus is still on strike. You must remember when you were six years old, one day I picked you up from the school bus stop with some kids, your shoe's lace was lose, you tied it up. Gabriel was one and half year old then, he was very quiet to wait and watch you tied your lace, then he pat your shoulder, and said, niuniu, I am so proud of you. You were not happy to hear the one and half years old boy to say, "niuniu, I am so proud of you." So you sighted, and gave him white eyes. But I felt so interesting, and I laughted. I know you would be very happy if I or your sister, or your classmates, or your teachers, principal...anybody said, "I am so proud of you" to you, but not Gabriel, oh, nono, definately not him. His words is nothing, he is only five years old now. But I have another feeling about this. No matter anybody said anything to me, I would think in two simple ways. One is, "I did." Then I will be very happy or correct my improper way; the other is, "I didn't." Then I will explain to him or her, or I just ignored it. If someone says, "you are beautiful." Will you be very happy? or you will be angry? or you think it is fasle, cheap, nothing? If someone says, "you are smart." Will you be very happy? or you will be angry and think it is opposite to you, someone just laughted you in another way? If someone says, "you work hard." Will you be very happy? or you think it is another word for "not smart", that is why people said you work hard? I remembered that someone said, "oh, your dress is so beautiful today." to you when you were two years old, and you became very unhappy. I asked you why? You said, she said "my dress" is beautiful, not me, why should I feel happy? Ok, let's think about it. You can doubt anyone, anything, any words. Please do not doubt yourself. Recently, you and me watched the show, and I told you, do not follow the "fate", surrender under the fate, do not fight to the fate. You need to know what is your fate, that is all. Do you remember? People usual ask this or that to their Buddha or God, if they did not let the dream come true, then they will make lots of complaints to their Buhhda or God. It is useless. Even create the bad karma to make misfortune. I can't tell you "just ignore it", even I have been practicing so many years, sometimes, I could not. But I learnt that, you think it in a positive way, when somebody said anything good to you, you try to smile, and say, thank you instead of doubting it, and replace with lots of redicious thinking. All right? You are one year older, (me too.) try to change some ideas which bother you before. And I still have a lot to practice this year. Let's do it better together!!! Love~ mom |
