學個用法:about "phone slang"

A buzz, a tinkle and a bell...All three words can be used instead of the word 'call' in this sentence..."I'll give you a call later tonight."

I'll give you a buzz later tonight.

I'll give you a tinkle later tonight.

I'll give you a bell later tonight.

'dog and bone' rhymes with 'phone'. It does, in some parts of the UK you'll hear it used in the same way as the phrase: 'on the phone'... So, you'll hear: 'on the dog'. Another word for 'phone', used in the same way as 'dog', is 'blower'...

A: Where's Malcolm?

B: He's on the dog.

A: Tell him to come and find me when he finishes, ok?

"dog and bone"則指電話,在英國「電話中」'on the phone'可以等於'on the dog',也可以說'on the blower'。
