Christmas is just around the corner.

I went on a Christmas shopping trip this afternoon around town trying to find some Christmas goodies.

Candy canes was on the top of my shopping list.

Compared to last year, it seemed to be a lot easier to find candy canes this year.

They were all sold out last year when I tried to buy some for the students.

I managed to buy a beautiful box of mint candy canes from SOPHISCA candy shop in Xi-Men Ding area.

The store was so packed that I could hardly move.

Young or old crowded into this Christmas wonderland.

I checked the labels to make sure where they are produced.

I tried to avoid purchasing food from across the strait recently due to the earlier melamine incident.

The box said that the candies are made in Taiwan......should be safe....I hope.

70 mini canes for NT 350.......I wouldn't say that they're cheap but I think they're still within my budget.

I remember they were a lot cheaper in Vancouver when I lived there.

Anyway, I haven't found any place selling the mini canes in town except here in SOPHISCA.

There are places selling classic canes in town, such as some gift shops in Shi-ta area, Xin-Dong Young and Wastons.

I actually got a box of Cane Classics of Spangler Candy Company  U.S.A  from Watsons on my way home.

12 canes for NT 59.......amazingly, they are cheaper than the mini canes I bought from SOPHISCA.

In Shi-ta area, you can get 12 classic canes made in Malaysia or Phillipines for NT 69 or 12 classic canes made in Taiwan for NT 100.

Xin Dong Young sells similar items for NT 89.

SOPHISCA has a 12-cane package made in Taiwan for NT 95.

They also have a larger selection of flavors, such as mint, vinilla, strawberry...etc.

Wastons has a 12-cane package made in the US for NT 59.

They come in cherry, strawberry and blueberry this year.

Anyone wants to buy some candy canes??  

I hope the info mentioned above helps......you'd better hurry before they are sold out.

Ayone had found any good deal for candy canes in town?
