勇敢演出自編創世運英語數來寶 

今年冬天是第三次參加年度世運志工授證活動表演（可見我加入世運志工已經三年多了），第一年表演自編的中文世運語數來寶，第二年是演唱台語聖誕老阿伯，今年是嘗試自編的英語世運數來寶。

我在台上承認大學聯考英語只考了廿幾分，即使現在的聽力和字彙都不足以對談及閱讀，但是憑著熱情在興趣中運用英語，希望伙伴們一起來熱情唸英語，大聲有感情就會很棒！一同珍惜一生難得一次的世運機緣。

好家在，我一字不漏地表演完，再帶大家呼應著唸。

今年的活動排場很正式，長官師長在前半段來不少，因為安排了簽約儀式；下午三點多才輪到我表演，但節目彩排從上午十點前就開始了。我反覆的背誦演練，雖然台詞是我寫的，但因為主要難度是要背出卅一個世運項目的英語名稱，我是按照它們的尾音的押韻來排列，有些擔心一上台會有所遺漏。

在台下練習時，我曾自問：為何要自找這種考驗？想想有些自找苦吃，但也有些不甘和期望，想丟些刺激出去。

回想在將近四年前退休時，因為參加了世運英語導覽培訓，而踏入導覽及兼用英語的領域（之間在軍中要應用英語會話的機會非常少），結訓後，可惜公部門都未好好運用培訓的人力，我只好自己找機會找地方練習自訓（先後在英領館、孔子廟，並擴及高雄的山海河城），同時每年都報名參加世運英語導覽培訓及英語課程，可說享受到的志工培訓資源不少…只是，仍未見公部門統合外語志工的規畫，甚至在世運選手來賓的觀光導覽已確定交由旅遊業者來負責，採付費原則。

我認為這真是一個沒有遠見的決定，因為志工導覽和付費導覽帶給外賓的感受截然不同，前者是朋友的人情味，後者難免帶有商業的利益感受，而且，志工外語導覽的能量是需要長期磨鍊培養的，除了世運是個難得向世界展示城市的機會，未來長遠的城市國際形象，相信外語導覽志工也將帶給國際友人親身接觸的深遠影響。

所以我勇敢地上台了，這三年多的練習和運用，英語表達能力的確進步不少，也體會到背誦及熟悉所需時空環境的字彙和句型，就足以開口向外賓展現熱情和友誼。

衷心希望有識者能多多享受運用外語的樂趣，更期望公部門能好好珍惜及培養運用外語志工的經驗和能力，最好能針對城市導覽編寫簡單（切忌深奧）生動（不要教條）有趣（找出趣味點）的外語介紹稿，以供有心投入者背誦發揮。
