１９８９年春天　邦妮與EMI旗下的Capital公司簽約

推出由名製作人Don Was操刀的大碟〔Nick Of Time／正是時候〕
這張專輯強調芮特的草根精神並加入R&B修飾
讓大眾更容易接受她的特色
在成人電台的強力支持下
這張大碟攀升至＃２２　也賣得金唱片　成為邦妮最成功的作品
不過這張專輯的故事還沒完
１９９０年初　芮特得到多項葛萊美獎提名
〔Nick Of Time〕又回升至Top ２０
２月底邦妮大爆冷門　奪得年度專輯　流行女歌手　搖滾女歌手　還有最佳傳統藍調錄音四個獎項
成為當年最大贏家
結果專輯爆升　擠下當紅舞星寶拉阿巴杜（Paula Abdul）的十週冠軍〔Forever Your Girl／永遠是你的女孩〕
登上三週冠軍　至今大賣５百多萬張
讓步入中年的芮特終於揚眉吐氣　躍升歌壇一線巨星
