這位有著憂鬱面孔　運動員體格　叛逆形象的男歌手走的是Pop/Rock, Soft Rock ,AC, New Wave路線
曾被青少年視為歌壇性感象徵 

１９８３年　柯瑞發行首張專輯〔Firse Offense／第一罪行〕

第一主打是〔Sunglasses At Night／夜晚的太陽眼鏡〕單曲
這是一首帶有濃厚新浪潮樂風的Pop-Rock
哈特以幾近吶喊式的唱腔演繹此曲
果然創下佳績　此曲於１９８４年夏天在美國流行榜得到了＃７ 加拿大＃２４

專輯也在家鄉拿到３白金　美國金唱片
在MV中　柯瑞飾演一位被通緝的嫌疑犯
所以才須要在晚上也戴著太陽眼睛
不過最後他仍被警方逮捕
只是他依舊設法想逃出監牢
剛出道的哈特相當青澀　而且非常清瘦
