與剛走紅美國影壇當紅炸子雞約翰屈伏塔（John Travolta）主演青少年典〔Grease／火爆浪子〕

票房大賣（當年最賣座電影）　獲得金球獎女主角提名　原聲帶也相當暢銷（英美冠軍　美國至今賣出八百多萬張）

紐頓強的音樂事業也跟片中女主角一樣　從玉女轉向性感路線

１９８０年　她主演另一部奇幻歌舞片〔Xanadu／仙納度狂熱〕

雖然賣座不佳　評價失敗　但跟ELO合作的原聲帶卻成為奧莉薇亞卻暢銷的專輯之一
