１９８５年３月　剛以歌曲［Like A Virgin］［Material Girl］成為樂壇當紅炸子雞的２６歲半美國歌手瑪丹娜（Madonna）再度發行單曲［Crazy For You／為你瘋狂］

這是青少年電影［Vision Quest］原聲帶專輯首支主打

製片Jon Peters&PPeter Guber在聽過瑪丹娜過去的錄音作品後

決定採用她, 並雇用John Bettis＆Jon Lind創作歌曲

製作人則是John ‘Jellybean’ Benitez, 對以舞曲見長的他來說是項挑戰

他將此曲製作成一首流行抒情曲 瑪丹娜的詮釋也深情感人

原聲帶專輯由Geffen唱片發行

瑪丹娜所屬的Sire/Warner Bros.原本不想發行單曲 , 擔心會轉移大眾對她第二張間專輯［Like A Virgin］的注意力

但製片最後說服他們答應

這對瑪丹娜來說也是新的音樂導向, 因為之前她並未以純粹抒情曲為主打

［Crazy For You］獲得許多好評

商業成績亮眼 登上告示單曲榜后座 成為瑪丹娜第二首美國冠軍曲 銷售逾百萬張 拿到金唱片　年終＃９

原本它在［We Are The World］之後待了三週亞軍　第四周才登冠

可見瑪丹娜當時的人氣與歌曲熱門程度

另外也讓娜姐創下繼琳達朗絲黛後　第二位在告示單曲榜同週有兩首單曲名列Top５的紀錄

隔年讓瑪丹娜首度提名葛萊美（最佳流行女歌手）
