１９８９年６月　美國音樂奇才王子（Prince，1958-2016）為華納影業（Warner Bros.）推出的超級英雄電影〔Batman／蝙蝠俠〕製作電影原聲帶（配樂由Danny Elfman負責）　由他個人譜寫／編曲／製作

一向被樂評青睞的王子這回只拿到好壞兩極的評價

不過因為電影大賣 

〔Batman／蝙蝠俠〕登上英美專輯榜冠軍　其它地區皆打入Top１０　全球賣出６００萬張, 讓王子重振聲勢

一洗上張大碟〔Lovesexy〕商業失敗之憾

前三首單曲皆打入美國Billboard Top４０

１９８９年１１月, 王子推出原聲帶第四首單曲［Scandalous!／聲名狼藉!］　只在美國, 歐洲某些地區, 澳大利亞等處限地發行

此曲由王子與父親John L. Nelson合寫, 被製作成一首靈魂抒情曲

在慢板的節奏間, 王子以假音演繹,既細膩又富戲劇性

王子並推出混音單曲, 包含三部名為‘The Crime,‘The Passion,‘The Rapture’,長達１９分鐘的［Scandalous!］組曲

他當時女友金貝辛格（Kim Basinger）也出現在混音單曲中

［Scandalous!］並沒入Billboard單曲榜, 但在副榜──黑人榜拿到＃５（1990年終R&B＃85）
