Grand Master said the root of good fortune is when one is charitable to other. You should do charity when Buddhas and Bodhisattvas blessed and bestow fortune upon you. The thought of performing good deeds bestow one's with good fortune. Everyone should be generous in dharma offering (to expound Buddhist teachings), monetary or material donations, courage-giving, these are the roots of good fortune.
Grand Master keenly donates offerings received from others or makes donation towards the Sheng-Yen Lu Foundation. Recently, Sheng-Yen Lu Foundation contributed $100,000 towards a low-income hospital.
Grand Master explained, to attain enlightenment is to understand the meaning between “formation/existence" and "sunyata (void/emptiness)". Between "formation/existence" and "sunyata" is a situation with two sides, as mentioned in the Heart Sutra, "Form is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from form. Form is emptiness, emptiness is form!"
Grand Master reminded everyone that it is not easy for parents to raise a child, therefore everyone should be filial to their parents. People of filial piety are respected by Buddhas, and protective deity will be assigned to protect these people.
Lastly, Grand Master reminded everyone that cultivators should have tolerance and strive to maintained a balanced mind.

師尊说有了錢財要拿出來做佈施，佈施是一切之福。佛菩萨賜福份给你要好好的应用這些錢，去做佈施。心中有佈施的念頭，福份才會到來。所謂法施，財施，無畏施，大家都要做，這是福份的根源。
師尊很喜欢把收到供养的錢拿去做佈施或放在卢胜彥佈施基金。卢胜彥佈施基金近期就捐了10万给低收入者医院。
師尊解释開悟是要了解有跟空之間，有跟空之間是一體两面的，像心經里所講的色不異空，空不異色，色即是空，空即是色！
間中，師尊也提到父母养大孩子是很幸苦的，每个人都要孝顺父母。佛天對孝顺的人很尊敬，特别付于旁邊有謢法神。
師尊提到修行人要具有大忍辱及大定力。
