中國大陸雲南昭通發生一起嬰兒嚴重燒燙傷的意外。母親患有先天性智能障礙，並且有癲癇的症狀，6日在抱小孩時，癲癇意外發作，結果小孩跌落火爐，傷勢相當嚴重。由於父母親都是殘疾人士，家境十分貧困，無力支付小孩的醫療費，小孩的父親向外界求助，希望能夠協助他們度過難關，然而外界心疼孩子捐款後，這位爸爸卻帶著善款跑了，目前警方已介入調查。

根據《網易新聞》報導，母親當時抱著嬰兒在火爐旁，未料癲癇發作，不甚失手，導致嬰兒掉入一旁的火爐當中，緊急送醫治療。醫師診斷，孩子的手部、臉部大面積燒燙傷，並且內臟器官受損，仍尚未脫離危險，甚至當時一度處於休克的狀態。

據雲南省昭通市彝良縣人民醫院的工作人員表示，這名燙傷的嬰兒家境狀況非常不好，目前小孩的治療費已近萬元人民幣（約台幣4萬5千元），後續治療費用都在盡力募集當中。根據嬰兒的傷勢照來看，頭部及手部都有呈現焦黑的情況，讓人看了相當不捨。

原先患者家屬因無力支付費用，選擇放棄治療，並自己出院，不過該名嬰兒讓外界相當擔心，因此大家也募集一些善款交給孩子的爸爸，希望他能夠將嬰兒帶回醫院治療。而在外界的援助下，嬰兒被送往昆明醫科大學第二附屬醫院進行治療。

然而在10日，和男嬰生活在同個村的村支書透露，男嬰的父親似乎想放棄小孩的治療，因此帶著村民所捐助的幾千元人民幣跑了，消息曝光後，警方以及相關部門已經介入調查，目前尚未得知父親的下落。
