Exactly in two preceeding Chinese cycles of sixty years, or the year of Xin Chou in 1901, then China under Qing Dynasty succumbed to sign an extremely humiliating peace treaty with all Western powers, in which China gave up almost all of her national security and treasury to those powers.  The reverberations of the treaty had been innumerable to modern China.
