首支單曲［Slow Hand］升到美國Billboard流行榜亞軍  成為指針姐妹名次最高的歌曲（平了1978［Fire］的紀錄）　拿到百萬金唱片

接下來, 指針姐妹推出第二單曲［What a Surprise／真是驚喜］

由A. Pointer, J. Pointer＆Trevor Lawrence譜寫

被製作成一首融合流行與靈魂的歌曲　

大姐安妮塔主唱　三人合音

在搖曳的節奏間, 氛圍浪漫輕鬆

只是［What a Surprise］沒有延續［Slow Hand］的氣勢, 並無打入Billboard單曲榜, 只拿到副榜－靈魂榜＃５２

不過隔年指針姐妹仍以［Black＆White］提名葛萊美最佳R&B團體
