１９７０年代中期　英國搖滾天團佛利伍麥克（Fleetwood Mac）將創作基地從英國搬到美國洛杉磯

由於團員更迭

１９７４年　創始人米克佛利伍麥克（Mick Fleetwood）在加州遇到創作歌手／吉他手林賽白金漢（Lindsay Buckingham）加入樂團, 後者同意,但條件是附帶女友兼事業伙伴的史蒂芙妮克絲（Stevie Nick）

米克佛利伍麥克答應　

兩人在１９７４年底除夕正式成為團員

１９７５年夏天　佛利伍麥克（Fleetwood Mac）發行第十張原創大碟──也是第二次以樂團為名的［Fleetwood Mac］（Reprise唱片發行 ）

由樂團與美國音樂人Keith Olsen共同製作

前三首主打在英國皆沒上榜

但美國反應卻倒吃甘蔗　北美首支單曲（英國第二單曲）［Over My Head］打入Billboard單曲榜＃２０　成為他們在美國第一支熱門曲

１９７６年２月　佛利伍麥克乘勝追擊 推出英國第三／美國第二主打［Rhiannon／麗安儂］（單曲版則標明［Rhiannon (Will You Ever Win)］）

此曲由新團員史蒂芙妮克絲譜寫

靈感來自小說［Triad］　歌詞描述一名叫Branwen的女子被一名叫Rhiannon的女人迷戀騷擾

等妮克絲寫完此曲後, 才發現兩個人名是中世紀威爾斯散文手稿的人物──其中Rhiannon是魔女

被引發興趣的史蒂芙還創作一些相關作品, 也會在舞台表明這是一首關於威爾斯女巫的歌曲

［Rhiannon］被製作成一首軟調搖滾, 由妮克絲扎實的魔力嗓音詮釋　並襯托以佛利伍麥克團員合聲

此曲再度受到歡迎　登上Billboard單曲榜＃１１　年終排行＃７６　讓樂團再得一首熱門曲, 也讓專輯在排行榜扶搖直上

英國則沒上榜。

１９７７年［Rumours］全球大賣後, １９７８年唱片公司重發［Rhiannon］, 但也只拿到英國榜＃４６

另外拿到加拿大＃４　澳大利亞＃１３　荷蘭＃１６

１９７５－１９８０年間　妮克絲在舞台表演此曲總有戲劇化的情感強度
