Here’s a big good success story of using the Topdon Rlink J2534 PDU driver for VAG.

This driver allows the Rlink dongle to emulate the VAS6154 interface with CAN FD and DOIP communication.

The driver installation was seamless with ODIS identifying the device without issue, the driver enabled full use, with ODIS fully recognising ignition change unlike the J2534 driver.

Overall great success, allowing me to fully program a new BCM and 2 new proximity keys in an all-keys-lost situation on an MQBPlus chassis vehicle!

How do I download the PDU VW driver?

You need to purchase the additional PDU driver. On the Rlink Platform on the PC go to store, and there you can purchase multiple PDU drivers including the VW.

 ODIS service 26 and ODIS Engineering 22 work well with PDU driver (after switch Rlink device on Rlink platform).
If you keep VAS5054/VAS6164 selected, ODIS doesn’t recognize the PDU driver but only as J2534 interface.
