為什麼常在下雨前看到?

燕子本來就會低飛捕蟲;下雨前空氣濕度高,小蟲翅膀容易沾上水汽、飛不高,燕子為了追捕牠們也會跟著飛得更低。因此民間才有「燕子低飛要下雨」的說法,但這是間接的氣象線索,不代表燕子點水本身就能預測下雨。

簡單判斷

只快速掠過一次、張嘴:多半在喝水。

反覆沾水、水花較大:可能在洗澡。

在水面附近繞飛、突然轉向:很可能在捕蟲。

一群燕子集體低飛:常與水面或低空蟲群有關,雨前也可能更明顯。
