主啊！使我作你和平之子，
在憎恨之處播下你的愛，在傷痕之處播下你的寬恕，
在懷疑之處播下你的信心，在絕望之處播下你的盼望，
在幽暗之處播下你的光明，在憂愁之處播下你的喜樂。
哦，主啊！
使我少為自己求，少求受安慰，但求安慰人；
少求被瞭解，但求瞭解人；少求愛，但求全心付出愛；
因為在赦免時，我們便蒙赦免，在捨去時，我們便有所得；
迎接死亡時，我們便進入永生。
Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury,pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen
