喪子之後，從幾近崩潰、逃避於毒品，到悼念愛子，Eric 藉由寫下這首至情至性的〈 Tears in Heaven 〉重回創作舞台。歌聲與吉他聲中，道盡了遙想的思念，真摯的惆悵，這首歌幾乎是人人會唱，這首歌也獲得９３年葛萊美獎的年度唱片、年度歌曲、最佳流行男歌手演唱獎，三大獎。〈Tears in Heaven〉，曲調雖然簡單，可是令人動容，值得分享。
