What is your favorite place to go in Tainan? Why?
台南是一個台灣最早發跡的地方,除了很多古蹟之外,還保存了很多文化古物,其中我最喜歡的是孔廟文化園區,當中有台灣文學館、孔廟、五妃廟、延平郡王祠及日治時期留下來的學校等等,這些古蹟更適合帶孩子去參觀,讓孩子可以了解台南,跟台南產生更深厚的情感聯結,了解台南,認識台南,愛上台南。
Tainan City is a city which was developed earliest in Taiwan. Therefore it is called "the Ancient City". In Tainan, we have a lot of historic relics such as Confucius Temple, Taiwan Museum of Literature, Wu Fei Temple, The Koxinga Shrine and some Japanese schools in the period of "Japanese occupation". It will offer kids a great chance to love Tainan deeply.

 

 

2.How do you introduce Tainan to your foreign friends?

台南是一個台灣最早發跡的地方,除了很多古蹟之外,還保存了很多文化古物,其中我最喜歡的是孔廟文化園區,當中有台灣文學館、孔廟、五妃廟、延平郡王祠及日治時期留下來的學校等等,這些古蹟更適合帶孩子去參觀,讓孩子可以了解台南,跟台南產生更深厚的情感聯結,了解台南,認識台南,愛上台南。甚而介紹台南給來這裡參觀的外國朋友

Tainan City is a city which was developed earliest in Taiwan. Therefore it is called "the Ancient City". In Tainan, we have a lot of historic relics such as Confucius Temple, Taiwan Museum of Literature, Wu Fei Temple, The Koxinga Shrine and some Japanese schools in the period of "Japanese occupation". It will offer kids a great chance to love Tainan deeply. Even more, to lead the foreigners to come here for a visit.

 

3.What are the most popular sports in Taiwan?

路跑是目前台灣最受歡迎的運動之一,在各地舉辦的路跑可以認識各地的不同風貌,而在台南也舉辦過很多路跑的活動,藉由台南的路跑活動也可以更認識台南,而在教學時我也會透過走訪社區,讓孩子了解台南,認識台南,愛上台南。

Jogging Race is one of the most popular sports in Taiwan. It gives us a chance to see different view of Taiwan. and in Tainan it also serves us a chance to see Tainan. I prefer to walk with kids to see our community around, let the children understand Tainan, know Tainan, love Tainan.

 

4. What is your favorite sport? Why?

我最喜歡的運動是路跑,而路跑也是台灣目前最受歡迎的運動之一,目前各地舉辦的路跑也會結合當地文化特色,像台南也有舉辦風鈴木路跑、安平夜跑、山上路跑(去認識自來水廠),我在教學中,會培養幼兒養成運動的習慣,在學校舉辦小型的路跑,擴展到社區,可以讓孩子更理解台南的社區與文化,與台南產生深厚的情感連結。


My favorite sport is the Jogging Race, and it is also one of Taiwan's most popular sports and melt into local special culture , such as Trumpet-tree Jogging Race, Anping Night Jogging Race, Mountain Jogging (to know the water plant), I will build students’ sports habits, organize a small jogging race in kindergarten, then extend to the community.  We can lead the children to understand Tainan community, culture to develop deeper emotional connection with Tainan.

 

5.What are your hobbies?

我喜歡路跑,看書,聽音樂。路跑也是台灣目前最受歡迎的運動之一,目前各地舉辦的路跑也會結合當地文化特色,像台南也有舉辦風鈴木路跑、安平夜跑、山上路跑(去認識自來水廠),我在教學中,會培養幼兒養成運動的習慣,在學校舉辦小型的路跑,擴展到社區,可以讓孩子更理解台南的社區與文化,與台南產生深厚的情感連結。


I like jogging, reading, listening to the music. Jogging is one of the most popular sports in Taiwan and melt into local special culture ,such as Trumpet-tree Jogging Race, Anping Night Jogging Race, Mountain Jogging (to know the water plant), I will build students’ sports habits, organize a small jogging race in kindergarten, then extend to the community.  We can lead the children to understand Tainan community, culture to develop deeper emotional connection with Tainan.

 

6.What kind of music do you like?

 我最喜歡古典樂,也喜歡國樂,而我知道台南最近也在推國樂,也有參加巡迴演唱,並進行交流;因此在教學中我會適時的帶入古典樂與國樂,讓幼兒透過聽覺感受美感教育,透過輕柔的古典樂或國樂讓幼兒靜心,透過活潑的音樂,帶領幼兒體驗音樂的快慢、大小聲,感受不同的節奏。


I like classical music, but also the Chinese traditional music, and right now, the Chinese traditional music is very popular in Tainan via music tour, exchange tour. I will melt classical music and Chinese traditional music into my teaching, to develop children aesthetic education, meditation and music experience . through the lively music, the size of sound, the different rhythm.

 

7. Do you like todays weather? Why or why not?

是的我喜歡,不論天氣如何,我覺得重要得是我的心態,晴天時,可以帶孩子出去吹吹風、曬曬太陽,欣賞雲朵的變化,進行大肌肉的活動。如果下雨了,可以帶孩子聽聽雨聲、感受雨滴在窗戶的變化,感受雨聲的大小變化。

在各種天氣、各種情境下,面對不同的人事物,我都傾向以樂觀的態度面對,無形中也帶領孩子們學會在不同情境下可以選擇不同的因應策略,自然而然學會調節情緒,樂觀面對生活中的人事物。

 

Yes I do, no matter how the weather is, the most important is our mind. On sunny day, I can take the children out to feel the wind blow, the sun shine, enjoy the clouds changing, do some large muscle activities. If it rains, I can take the children to listen to the rain, feel the rain dripping on the window, sense the tone of the raindrops. I tend to face different weather, different situation, different people with an optimistic attitude to lead the children to learn from it.

 

 

8.Do you often eat in a restaurant? Why or why not?

我喜歡自己烹調,也會帶領孩子自己製作食物,認識各種健康食物及對身體的幫助,在教學上我也會帶領孩子烹飪做健康的食物,利用教學活動也會讓孩子多認識健康的食物,讓孩子從小認識多樣的食物,也會帶孩子去餐廳吃飯,感受不同的餐廳特色,介紹餐廳禮儀及禮貌讓孩子知道,讓孩子從小知道健康的飲食及禮儀,也會利用這樣的方式讓幼兒能有更均衡的飲食概念

I like cooking and teach kids to cook to know a variety of healthy food and keep our nutrition in balance. Sometimes I bring them to the restaurant to feel the different restaurant’s styles and to learn the table manners and good eating habit.

 

9.Do you prefer to live in the city or in the suburbs?

不論是郊區或是市區都有他的優缺點,在城市有很多商店、購物及交通都相當方便,而在郊區則可以體驗更多的大自然風景,可以有更多機會帶孩子接觸花草、樹木,進行踏青、野餐或是自然生態的觀察活動;而台南也有很多特色農產品,例如白河蓮花、玉井芒果、關廟鳳梨,都可以帶孩子參觀、體驗或親自種植蔬菜,讓孩子可以從體驗過程感受生命的變化。

Whether to leave in the country or in the city do have good and bad traitsit. The life in the city is convenient for shopping and commuting. To live in the country, we can get more time with nature, like climbing, picnicking , nature observing.
There are many special agricultural products in Tainan, such as the White River lotus, Yujing mango, Guanmiao pineapple where children can pay a visit to plant  vegetables by themselves and experience the changes of life.

 

 

10.Tell me about a person you admire.

我崇拜的人是孔子,他被華人社會尊稱為至聖先師。孔子他不只呈現出一位老師所應有的更告訴我們要因材施教。孔子他是一位有道德的哲學思想家,在他的時代背景中,他不因為得不到重用而放棄目標與理想,仍舊以正向積極的態度來面對人生。每個教師都有理想,我也學習著孔子正向的態度來面對理想,在班上也會帶領孩子以正向的態度來面對問題。

I worship Confucius who was known as the The First Great SageTeacher. Confucius shows us a great role model and remind us of teaching students according to their own apitude. He is a moral philosopher. While others looked down upon him, he never gave up his goal and dream. He still keep his chin up with positive attitude. Every teacher has a vision, so do I. I will follow Confucius to teach students .

1.Why do you want to be a teacher?

我想要成為一位老師是因為我從小喜歡和孩子玩,從和孩子一起遊玩的過程中,我發現到孩子的純真及熱情,因為自己是主修是英文系,在平時同學或學弟妹會來,請教問題在教導的過程中,同學和學弟妹都會說學姊你解釋得很清楚!!可以當一位老師!!也因為這樣我開始想我可以當一位老師,又因緣際會下我選擇了幼教當我成為老師主要的教師的道路,我也很珍惜我在這一條路上每一位孩子帶給我的快樂及歡笑。


I want to be a teacher because I like playing with children, they are so pure and enthusiastic. My major is English. My classmates and junior classmates always give me good remarks and suggest me to be a teacher after my teaching them. So I start pursuing a kindergarten teaching job. I enjoy to teach and appreciate all the joy and laughter kids brought.

 

2.Why is education important today?

在我擔任英文老師的過程中,我發現我除了可以教導孩子英文外,透過與孩子聊天過程,也可以了解孩子們的想法,我喜歡與孩子相處,聽聽孩子的聲音,我發現教師不僅可以傳授專業知識,也可以陪伴孩子快樂成長,解決生活中的問題,老師是傾聽著、引導者,也是一位觀察者,在了解孩子的特質之後,因材施教、適性教育。

In the course of my English teacher, I found that in addition to teaching children English, I could understand the children's thoughts by chatting with my children. I like to get along with my children and listen to the children's voice. I found that teachers can not only to teach professional knowledge, but also can accompany the children to grow happily, to solve the problem of life, the teacher is a listener, a coach, but also an observer. After understanding the characteristics of the child, we can teach them according to their aptitude.

 

3.What are the character qualities needed to be a good teacher?

因為愛孩子,所以我會去做以下這些事情:第一:能夠樂於學習,學無止境,在學當中才能精進自己,並帶領孩子幫助孩子擴展視野。第二:要能承擔責任,這是我大學老師送給我的話,而她也以身教告訴我如何當一位負責的老師,有責任感的老師才能教出有責任感的學生。第三:找尋孩子的優點:幫助學生找出他的優勢,提昇他的成就感,讓孩子能快樂成長。

Because I love children, so I will do the following things: First: to be happy to learn, learning never ends, to learn and teach in school is the best way to broaden my self and students. Second: to be able to take responsibility, this is my university teacher who taught me to be responsible and gave the advice: Only a responsible teacher knows how to teach kids responsible. Third: find the child's strong points to promote his self-accomplishment and to grow up happily.

 

4.What do you think is the best way to improve your teaching skills?

The best way to improve my teaching skills are stop, look and listen.

---想一想,看---觀察,聽---聽老師,吸收別人的想法,願意放下自己主動積極的學習,放下自己的身段透過停看聽的方式去學習,會保持隨時開放的心並積極主動的學習,透過多看多聽多想多做的心,用開放的心,積極的學習,並省思自己,運用到教學上幫助孩子快樂成長。
Stop --- think about it, look --- observe, listen --- listen to the teacher, absorb the idea of ​​others, willing to put yourself aside and put learning positive ahead. Belittle yourself, stop-see-listen, which are the keys to learn. Open your mind and be positive to learn more, see more and do more. Reflect yourself and use all these methods to help kids learn and grow happily.

 

5.What is your favorite subject/age to teach? Why?

幼兒是主動的個體,孩子主動在環境中與環境互動,我喜歡和孩子在一起遊玩,發現這階段的孩子充滿好奇心,樂於探索這世界,也發現年紀大的會教年紀小的,解釋意思給年紀小的聽,而年紀小的會模仿年紀大的學習情況。在混齡的學習環境中,年紀小的孩子有實際的模仿對象;而較大的孩子在被邀請教導的過程中,修正、增強自己學過的知識,並且在長幼的互動中,孩子也發展其社會能力,大孩子照顧年幼者,培養其領導能力及責任感,因為這樣的相處下來在這些發現當中更愛和這些孩子相處。

Children are active individuals, children take the initiative to interact with the environment, I like to play with children and found that this stage of the child is full of curiosity, happy to explore the world, also found that older age is willing to teach the smaller age and the younger will like to imitate the older’s learning.  In the learning environment of mixed age, young children have the actual imitation of the object; and the larger children are invited to teach and modify themselves at the same time .In the interaction between young and old children ,they develop their social skills , and the older children take care of young people, they develop their leadership and sense of responsibility. The more I get along with kids, the more I enjoy this teaching job.

 

6.Do you use cooperative learning in class?

幼兒是主動的個體,孩子主動在環境中與環境互動,這階段的孩子充滿好奇心,樂於探索這世界,年紀大的會教年紀小的,解釋意思給年紀小的聽,而年紀小的會模仿年紀大的學習情況。在混齡的學習環境中,年紀小的孩子有實際的模仿對象;而較大的孩子在被邀請教導的過程中,修正、增強自己學過的知識,並且在長幼的互動中,孩子也發展其社會能力,大孩子照顧年幼者,培養其領導能力及責任感

Children are active individuals, children take the initiative to interact with the environment.  This stage of the child is full of curiosity, willing to explore the world, older age is willing to teach younger kids and the younger Imitate older’s behavior.. In the learning environment of mixed age, young children have the actual imitation of the object; and the older children enjoy being invited to teach by younger kids. In this procession of interaction, kids amend and enhance their knowledge, and build their social skill.

7.What are your classroom management strategies?

我從人事物三方面來談班級經營,在人的方面有協同夥伴、家長、及學生,在事方面則是對課程的安排,並樂於來學校。在物的方面則是環境的規劃與安排,讓孩子在教室中能感受到自在學習。在學期初與協同教師共同規畫課程,在教學時並能與他共同討論課程及孩子的狀況,最後在學期末一同來省思課程與教學。在家長方面,有好的親師合作才能幫助孩子有更好的發展。讓我的孩子「開開心心進教室,捨不得回家」是我的目標。

I talk about class arrangement from three aspects : From the aspects of people: partners, parents, and students need to be cooperated. In terms of the arrangements for the course which must be attracted for kids. In terms of things is the environment planning and arrangements, so that children can feel free to learn in the classroom. At the beginning of the semester, co-ordinate and co-teachers arrange the curriculum together. During the teaching, they can discuss course and the child's together. And finally at the end of the school, they reflect together about curriculum and teaching. From parents’ point of view, a good relationship between teacher and parents will facilitate children for a better development. Let my child "willing to come, unwilling to go".

8.How do you deal with students of high and low abilities in your class?

幼兒是主動的個體,孩子主動在環境中與環境互動,這階段的孩子充滿好奇心,樂於探索這世界,年紀大的會教年紀小的,解釋意思給年紀小的聽,而年紀小的會模仿年紀大的學習情況。我會安排團體活動、分組活動或其他例行性的活動中在混齡的學習環境中,年紀小的孩子有實際的模仿對象;而較大的孩子在被邀請教導的過程中,修正、增強自己學過的知識,並且在長幼的互動中,孩子也發展其社會能力,大孩子照顧年幼者,培養其領導能力及責任感

I will arrange big group and small group activities and other routine activities in the mixed learning environment. Young children have the actual imitation of the object; and the larger children are invited to teach. They amend and enhance their knowledge and social skills: such as leadership and sense of responsibility,etc.

 

 

9.Whats your opinion of remedial teaching?

補救教學是對孩子的弱勢能力的補強。提供孩子成功的經驗才能幫助他們,提昇自信及學習。我曾經在當英文代課時發現班上英文能力有嚴重的雙峰現象(double apices phenomena)。在與導師溝通後利用午休及下課時間來幫助學生,剛開始慢慢練習發音及熟悉單字,接著對課文的了解,幾次下來,學生的英文進步了,也提昇了他對英文的興趣。而在面對幼兒園的孩子的時候,我也會運用這樣的概念來對待不同能力的孩子,給予適當的幫助、最大的耐心,讓每個孩子都能得到最好的學習效果。

Remedial teaching is a reinforcement of the child's weak ability. Provide children with successful experience to help them, improve self-confidence and learning. While I were a sub teacher, I felt that double peak pattern is a serious issue in English learning. After the communication with the instructor, I use lunch break and class break to help students by practicing pronunciation and word, then the understanding of the text. After several times , the students make progress. Same as I face the kids in kindergarten, I will put my great effort to treat different kids with different teaching skills. With my patience and assistance, every kid finds his best way to learn. Every star twinkles with his own light.

 

10.Tell us about one of your most successful classes/lessons.

多關注孩子的身上在過程中和孩子,一起探索不怕困難,孩子的成長的表現,關注孩子的過程成長的喜悅困難挫折,孩子的學習要有熱誠孩子的成功的過程,最成功的教學不是結果而是過程可能是情感面,並不是結果好壞學到什麼而是過程成功讓孩子去試,例如在帶紙的主題時,孩子折不好但他很努力的面對自己克服困難的過程就是一份成功的教學。

Pay more attention to the child , to explore without fear, enjoy the procession is more important the outcome. for example, in the paper theme, the child couldn’t fold the paper properly, but he kept trying by dealing with his own problems. This procession is a successful project.
