I watch you grow like flowers.,pushing loose soil. Charm of youths, rare reflection in your eyes Opening willowy arms spread for sweet embraces, Warm, cheek to cheek, shouldering your tender cries. Bursting forth with spirited innocence In bloom, Your season in the suns warm flood. Flourishing, toe dances against the breeze. Rapidly growing, fragrant flowering buds. Shall I dare to keep you in my garden. Securely planted within my protecting reach. Or risk you delicate, to a harsh climate., With so many lessons still to teach. I watch you grow like wild flowers., Blossoming in an open field. I could never dare confine you, But from the wind ~ I'll be your shield. |
