struggling

to get my bearings

to stand

in the enormous ,

overpowering surf

tossing and tumbling ,

wave  upon wave ,

a pocket of air

here

there

just enough

to keep this going ,

to keep this struggle

alive

too much

too  much to carry

too  much to maintain

too  much to want

to continue

I am done

finished

with the game

with the drama

with the experience

and so

I now let go

of the struggle

there ,

here , in the

pounding surf

I let go

of it all and

allow it

to take me

now
