The KWP 2000+ ECU REMAP Flasher Tuning Tool is a functional diagnostic device which can be used to read and assess the recent ECU software. It is also used to upgrade ECU software with file remap while repairing the ECUs for software issues or code inadequacies.
In order to make use of the KWP2000 Plus device, you need to have a computer with custom configuration and need to install the software KWP2000 Plus from the CD or it can be downloaded from the provider website. Once installed, you need to connect the USB cable to the PC. Then the device can be connected to your vehicle using a OBD2 16-pin connector. The OBD2 standard is added universally in the vehicle models released after 1996, so you can connect the turning tool to any vehicles which meet the OBD2 standard. You can follow the below steps in order to write and read data using KWP2000;
1. Click on the read button on the display to read the actual data.
2. Similarly, you can click on the write button, point to the specific file you wish to write on to.
3. You can save this file to HD, edit it or even forward it by following the instructions given on the screen.
4. To validate, switch off the ignition and rest for 10 seconds.
With the box pack of KWP2000 plus, you get the main unit, 6 connect cables, and the driver CD for the software installation.
Always make sure that you uninstall or disable the anti-virus software in your PC while running the KWP 2000 software. The anti-virus software may identify the KWP2000 software as a virus, which is a false positive. This software is having an application file and this is why it is being misinterpreted as virus. However KWP 2000 software is completely safe and virus free. If you do not disable the anti-virus software in your PC while installing KWP 2000, there is a possibility that your data may get lost.
