我的尼斯 養了一隻尼斯水怪 牠不住蘇格蘭高地 從沒打算當牠是傳奇 雖然偶爾我幻想牠是 漣漪僅在風靜後出現，傳奇之騷動 輕柔地 暗示隱秘的存在 莫入水淺之處涉險 莫讓未成形的恐懼凝成驚駭 命運總歸如此，一日 有人猛然划漿 “非關水中的擾亂”，我的尼斯說， “是更原始的聲音將我喚醒” 水波加速，背脊浮起，砸碎的尖叫 醜陋的張揚令牠羞赧 急忙下潛將斥責聲拋諸腦後 悔意雖然顯露，卻為一絲不甘沖淡 水草冷脆，游魚肥脂 我餵牠文明的食物 似乎沒有一樣讓牠聽力受損 我的尼斯不隨我老去 Below is the English version. Rather childish I guess, but here it is. My Pet Nessie I have a pet Loch Ness monster Whose abode lies not in the Scottish High. Never meant to keep as a legend But I fancy it so occasionally. Ripples only when the wind is quiet, a legend’s job is to stir ever so gently, to suggest a notion of hidden presence. Venture not into the shallow water Lest cast the shapeless fear into a dread. As fate would be spelt, one day a man would violently row his paddle. “Nothing to do with the disturbance,” my Nessie said, “I awoke to a sound more primordial.” An accelerated wavefront, a looming hump, a crushed scream - Then shying away from its manifested ugliness No sooner had the chiding No-No been uttered than it dived. Regret was sensed, though diluted with a shred of reluctance. Crispy is the weed, fat is the fish I’ve been feeding it meals of civilized kinds. But nothing seems to dull its hearing My Nessie does not grow old with me. |
