November 20, 2012 - After a group discussion of Digital Publishing Workshop for the third time on November 16^th (於11月16日參加第三次 的「數位出版工作坊–數位出版焦點團體座談會」之後

After a group discussion of Digital Publishing Workshop for the third time on November 16^th, I wrote some words (Chinese letter below) to the publishing persons that I knew newly from this kind of gathering. I might get some knowledge from this kind of meeting, but I still thought it should be necessary to organize a new association for southern Taiwan. Although I thanked udn.com Co. Ltd (聯合線上股份有限公司) to get support from Ministry of Culture (文化部) to arrange Digital Publishing Workshop for publishing circles of southern Taiwan, it seemed not to be active way for me. UDN.com Co. Ltd is big company in Taipei. Their manpower and sources mostly located in northern Taiwan. Their help for southern Taiwan might be limited in distance somewhat. A few hours discussion each time might bring us know a little more knowledge. However, I am still not sure whether I will take a new marketing subject if I haven’t tried.

Actually, I am still wondering which direction should I go? I have to make a careful consideration to spending money in marketing device because I can’t afford too much loss. In the other hand, I am also a little tired of internet marketing. From these three times, I only met some new publishing people from southern Taiwan. But personal problem is limited in the subject of digital publishing due to time limit. Most of attendees were gone right away after meeting. I wasn’t sure they found their solution from these kinds of meeting.

I have been thought it may be a way to talk about a new association to do more for publishing circles of southern Taiwan through these kinds of gathering. However, it might not be included in the subject for talk. In the position of udn.com Co. Ltd (聯合線上股份有限公司), they might not be available to help this idea. For the attendee of publishing circles, do they think it is necessary for southern Taiwan?

從我簡短的談話和附上的公司目錄檔案，您們大概認識我了，於2006

年，從寫作走入出版，也磨練一些經驗，因傳記文學的市場比較窄小，所以我常猶疑於行銷、資金的動作。

這二年我有致力於南部籌組一出版、經貿的協會，以共同運作市場，但人脈不足尚不能促成。或者我需找另外類型的出版品(市場較好作)的相關同業合夥運作。有興趣和我多談一談的，可聯絡之。謝謝
