As a student, therefore, you are not supposed to play truant,

你翹課又掛著是濟公的徒兒，這為師我可是多麼地沒面子。

Remember you are Ji Gong Living Buddha’s disciples.

How humiliating I would be if you cut classes!

在學校不要翹課，然後要做個好學生，做個品學兼優的好學生。

今天你來到這裡學道，不是要你們放下你們的學業不管，

Now you are here to learn Tao, not learning to leave your studies behind.

At school, therefore, you should be a good role model.

反而要把你們的學業讀得更好，才能夠感化你們的同學，甚至感動你們的老師。

Do better in your academic performances,

so that you can influence your schoolmates and

meanwhile touch your teachers.

術業有專攻，或許在道場這方面，你就成為你們老師的引保師，也說不定，所以要有大志向。

Who knows perhaps some day you can be

your teachers’ introducer or guarantor?

Where there is a will, there is a way.
