Once upon a time, there was an island where all the
feelings lived:

Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others,
including Love.

One day it was announced to the feelings that the island
would sink,

so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out
until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for
help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,

"Richness, can you take me with you?"

Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of
gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a
beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!"

"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might
damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me
go with you."

"Oh . . . Love, i'm Sorry, I'm so sad that I need to
be alone now."

愛對著財富說:能夠帶我離開嗎?

財富說:不,我沒辦法.因為有太多的金銀珠寶在我的船上,沒有空間可以再容納.

愛決定去問虛榮,虛榮同樣有艘非常漂亮的船.

愛說:虛榮,請幫助我！

虛榮對愛說:愛,我沒辦法.因為,已經全身溼透的愛,會讓我的船弄髒.

當悲傷靠近愛時,愛問了悲傷說:悲傷,讓我們一起離開.

Then, Love saw Happiness. love cried out, "Happiness,
please take me with you."

But Happiness was so over overjoyed that she didn't ever
hear Love calling to her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take
you." It was an elder.

So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder
where they were going.

When they arrived at dry land, the elder went His own way.
Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped
me?"

忽然間,有位智者的聲音說:愛,要離開跟我來吧!

"It was Time," Knowledge answered.

"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help
me? when no one else would?""

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered,

"Because only Time is capable of understanding how
valuable Love is."

知識回答愛說: "時間".

愛問著自己說:時間?為何時間會幫助我?難道沒有其他的會想嗎?...

富有深度地知識帶著微笑回答著:

因為只有時間能夠有能力去讓愛瞭解它的價值.
