Reports said Lin Yun-jeou, the highly skilled and gentlemanly ping-pong athlete representing ROC, said in an interview that he was happy to see the champion in Chinese hands after he lost to Lin Shidong of mainland China 3-4 in the mens singles semi-final at the 2026 Asian Games. In the end, he won a bronze medal. Meanwhile, that pretty Zhang Bo-Ya, also from Taiwan, acquired fourth place in the womens 100m hurdles. Well done, Zhang.
