碧雲天，黃葉地。  

Emerald sky, over the fallen leaves strewn with yellow dye. 

秋色連波，波上寒煙翠。     

Autumn befalls the ripples, where blended with mist cold and jade green on waves.  

山映斜陽天接水。

The reflection of slanting sunlight on hill makes sky and water like one.  

芳草無情，更在斜陽外。  

The unfeeling grasses stretch beyond the setting sun.  

黯鄉魂，追旅思。     

Dejected heart, upon the endless part.        

夜夜除非，好夢留人睡。   

Suffering night after night from nostalgic mind, how there be a sweet dream could I find.

明月樓高休獨倚。   

Do not lean on the high rail alone beneath this bright moon.

酒入愁腸，化作相思淚。

Just drown my sorrows over nothing but tears of homesickness.
