The trains will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and be limited to 200 passengers each until the operator is confident the system can run reliably for longer periods. Until Monday, the service will be free "as a way of thanking people for their patience" during the trains' hiatus, Center spokeswoman Kari Shaw said. Tom Albro of Seattle Monorail Services said the reduced number of hours will allow for maintenance work and help "make sure we do well" after a long shutdown. When round-trip fares resume, they'll be $4 for adults, $1.50 for youth ages 5-12 and $2 for seniors 65 and older, disabled people and people with Medicare cards. Children under 4 ride free. |
